In the tradition of the martial arts, Supreme Grand Master Hee Sang Ro, son of Taekwondo pioneer Supreme Grand Master Byung Jick Ro, is an 9th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo as well as Hapkido, Kumdo, Kung Fu and Kigong Master. Born in Korea, 2nd generation International Master Instructor, Supreme Grand Master Ro began his martial arts training at an early age under his father. He grew up to appreciate the rich traditions and philosophies of Taekwondo as his father taught him the special techniques he had perfected. 

In the 1960's Supreme Grand Master Ro distinguished himself by becoming one of the youngest to reach 4th Dan Black Belt at the time. 

Pursuing his interest in the traditional martial arts, he began studying Hapkido in 1963 and Northern Shaolin Kung Fu in 1967. He subsequently became an instructor to the Korean Army and one of Korea's Taekwondo champions. In 1976 he moved to the United States. Like his father before him, Supreme Grand Master Ro has been a martial arts pioneer, extending Song Moo Kwan to include the traditional martial arts of Hapkido, Kumdo and Shaolin Kung Fu, in addition to Tae Kwon Do.

Supreme Grand Master Ro carries on his family's legacy as the President of the World Martial Arts Center and the Executive Director of the World Song Moo Kwan Association. 

Supreme Grand Master Ro's dedication to the art of Taekwondo, Hapkido, Kumdo, Kung Fu keeps him actively involved in the martial arts. In addition to his many administrative duties, he continues to teach Taekwondo Hapkido, Kumdo, Kung Fu today to men, women and children of all ages, insuring the art of Song Moo Kwan is passed on to future generations.
